WELCOME TO THE BLOG
Getting organized is about being present. An organized home is one that meets the needs of it's dwellers and supports their routines while feeling cozy and comfortable. Creating structures and systems that can easily transition with the family is key to being able to adapt and adjust through all seasons of life.
Begin with the end in mind- Stephen Covey said it best. Before diving in to make changes, its best to make a plan. Determine the core need of the change and the outcome desired- really knowing your WHY will impact every decision to come.
When possible, build functionality into the home itself. Built-ins are great- especially if they are adaptable. Determining where outlets should be placed such as drawer docking systems or that special outlet for a lamp... when possible be sure that the design you create is functional.
Determining where to splurge on cute baskets and bins, and where to repurpose is a balance. Consider splurging on the pantry and closet while the garage may be a place to re-use the bins you already have (or not...). The spaces you use every day and that get the most traffic in your home need the best product you can buy because it impacts not only the function in the space but the look of it too. And when the loos is inspiring, the inspiration to maintain it follows.
Life transitions all the time- whether its a small adjustment such as the changing of seasons or a larger one such as children growing up or the loss of loved ones... your home needs to support you and your present life. We offer full home resets to declutter and organize each space as well as refresh options to maintain an organized home through the smaller transitions of life.
If you would like a professional's opinion about designing your dream home, we would love to help. Reach out and let's chat about the options!
